The Office of Protection Services (OPS) and the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary for Collections and Interdisciplinary Support (DUSCIS) hosted the National Conference on Cultural Property Protection, March 26-27, 2015, at the Warner Bros. Theater, National Museum of American History.
The Smithsonian founded the National Conference on Cultural Property Protection nearly 40 years ago. What started as a uniquely Smithsonian event now annually unites more than 100 participants from museums and cultural properties around the nation and the world.
Cultural and scientific heritage protection and preservation is our core strength with exemplary skills in security, facilities construction and management, risk assessment, and collections stewardship.
The 1.5-day conference consists of scheduled presentations and networking events. The schedule of topics and archived presentations are available at: https://natconf.si.edu/
